Thanks for the offer. Unfortunately, at the moment, the project is not really designed for internationalization -- every string is hardcoded, so everything will be in English (except of course for the few times a standard system dialog is called, like for the open/save file dialogs). Allowing translations would require first a large overhaul. There's nothing impossible about it, especially since wxWidgets supports that natively, but that's still a lot of code to review and update.

What's the point of a Chex Quest palette? It's the exact same as Doom.

The location of the crash doesn't make much sense with your description, since it happens in the map editor which is completely different code from the map image render.

You will need an ACC compiled for Mac; ACC.EXE is for Windows and will only run on Windows.

I suspect these .dat files (TITLE.DAT and INTRO.DAT in Shadowcaster; to which we can add INTRO2.DAT, END.DAT, BOARLORD.DAT, GOLEM.DAT, SSAIR.DAT, WOLF.DAT and ZARDAZ.DAT) are animations. They all start with the same identifier in Hex (05 01 40 01 C8). I have no plan to look further into it, sorry.

That's a lot more complicated than it seems.

SNDINFO is cumulative. What if you include custom sounds for the original weapons or monsters (defined in zdoom.pk3's own SNDINFO) in addition to sounds for your new weapons and monsters? Then the replacements will be falsely reported as "unused".

DECORATE is a very big can of worm, because of features like inheritance, and special sprite names #### and ----.

I can only see two possible explanations.

1. Missing resources. Do you have a res/ folder in your Slade install directory? If so, delete or rename it. Make sure you have the slade.pk3 from the Slade version you have installed.

2. No temporary dir access. What are the values of "temp_location" and "temp_location_custom" CVARs?

What is your level's lump name? MAP01 or something else? If it's something unusual, you'll have to make a MAPINFO lump to create an episode that starts with it.
