Humor is the heart of the human soul

This poem I had put in my sig a while ago, but I never posted it here.  I figured this place could use some spicing up.  Maybe while I'm retyping it I elaborate it a little.

What is this sorrow I feel?
It is not mine, but true in the same?
What is this joy I feel
Like sharing an umbrella,
which can sheild neither from the rain?

Why do I seek, what hurts me so?
Why do I find love, where others see pain?
Is it something deep in my heart that I know?
Or am I seeking what should come to my name.

Why must I find this bittersweet sorrow?
Despite that it's hurt unto me?
Why must I burden for others?
Though it does nothing for me?

They say that I'm weak for my pitty.
They say that I'm bringing them down.
They say that I shouldn't feel sorrow.
They'd rather just hide from it all.

My Heart, it came with price tag
Not in dollar or cents but in tears
But in the end it's all worth it.
As equal joy comes when sorrowness clears.

Why must I pay for this love
Why must it cost me to care?
Why does it hurt me so much
Just because there is nobody there.

The bittersweet sorrow of caring
The bittersweet sorrow of love
The bittersweet pain of forgiving
To make the sins that this world come undone.

Why is this sorrow alluring
This bittersweet sorrow I seek
Why is this sorrow so lovely
Dispite why others might think

Why must I seek this sorrow?
This bittersweet sorrow of care
Is it some sort of weakness?
Or some sort of stregnth I can bare

For I hope that this path is my strenght
Though the weakness it bears might cause pain
For I chose this path to grow stronger
And this path it chose me by name.

Nice, I like it.

Interestingly the orriginal short poem that I wrote back over a year ago, when I first met my, now, wife. Strangly it has only proven profetic about how my bond to her, and her's to me has grown throughout the stress we have undergone.  I have managed to show her how much like my troubles have made me stronger, her troubles have only made me stronger.

You're just jealous.
He's just jealous since I can open up enough to express myself, so cut him some slack, as his clown-faced brick wall won't.

Yeah, and unlike leileileio I'm not too busy messing with furries. :D

I may be an online furry, but I'm just into furry jokes, and furry comics.

Appearently you didn't read the poem, it's not really sad at all.

Maybe your brain can't grasp the emotion of  "bitter-sweet sorrow."  You won't either as the only two ways to learn about the emotion is to find true religion, or fall truely in love (not lust like in most modern movies, but true love something rarely seen today..)

No, Myspace is for the ONE emotion he DOES grasp reading words on the Internet.  *chuckles*

Seriously though, I think this has gone far enough.  Reasoning with him is like reasoning with a brick wall, you'll blow a lot of hot air and in the end hurt yourself.

Yeah, I guess the only way to have diplomacy with a brick wall is to give in.  *laugh*

So I guess you win, I'll stop teasing you back.  You still have to put up with my annoying clever jokes.
